Sports & Politics

I been trying to follow up my blog so many times in past 45 days but Procrastination is a b****H huh.Anyways the last couple of months been sports and Politics for me.Olympics was real good fun(India won 3 medals and PHELPS DA man....) and then US open is more than I have asked for, FED Winning aside(He beat Djokovic...The king is not dead after all) and NFL is going great as for now.Go PATs

Politics ,I thought American politics is better informed and more educated but it turns out American Politics is as Murky as in India for not MURKIER.

But my man is OBAMA.(Change.YES U can).

Reason:

Y OBAMA :

Dude is one talented and believes there is a simple solution how complicated the problem is.Obviously as Intelligence/Common Sense scares people and they are some folks that scared by him.

Y not McCain:

One thing I hate the most is hypocrisy. If McCain believes Obama is not qualified as he has no experience(which is a genuine doubt from his end) but and picking a person(PALIN) with as much or a bit more experience(as they argue) than OBAMA is hypocrisy at its best. And funny how republicans believe she is qualified even before she gave her first interview (which is a disaster) and to her credit the women has degree in Communications and Journalism after moving 5 different colleges(Univ of Idaho being the best in 5) and went on to work as a Sports anchor for a local TV.No pun intended but you comparing the WHITE(use race to say it wudnt be hard for her to go to school) gal those credentials to a Black(Using race to emphasize it must be hard) guy who went to Harvard on merit and got a Masters degree in LAW.Seriously you wanna compare those two.Come On now.Anyways....

I would take Smart guy with little experience over a DUMB experienced guy anytime and in any field unless we are picking "whose teh Dunbest of the two" and on second thoughts the smart guy can act more dumb I guess.

I can go on and on but anyways...I feel OBAMA is as good/smart a leader as it gets.So American Please don't miss your best chance. If OBAMA is elected it wud be a great chance to see a what good qualified leader to be the most powerful man on earth and if McCain/Palin win ,the next four years wud be a like funny Sitcom.

Either I wud be watching as I have nothing to lose.....

Have fun....

Olympics in a week

Federer Lost(again 3rd loss in the last 4 games) and he is not Number 1 anymore( by Aug 18 he wont be for sure). He lost in Cincy open in third round with losing his serve in the entire match,Sadly funny. The glorious 4 and 1/2 years when the Champ ruled tennis like NO ONE in the past/my guess is no one in future will ( being bold here) with such a grace.Wish it would have lasted for a few more years but every good thing has to end huh.I strongly feel he needs to hire a coach and yeah I know I am nothing and have no qualifications whatsoever even to suggest as much as give advice to federer but couldn't stop myself.I always ponder on why I feel sad(not sympathise but empathise) when federer losses but anyways.Wish the KING would come back....

While at Sports,Olympics will start in a week and I super excited as I am planning to follow very closely (No I am not in china) which I ha vent done it before. While I am excited about Olympics I am equally disgusted of china reason being Chinese athletes are picked up very Young age by or against their wishes by their government,Sounds ***ing ridiculous.Source "http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/olympics/2008/writers/selena_roberts/07/31/wilft/index.html?eref=T1 ".I ask what is the difference between slavery/and what Chinese athletes at least the ones picked against their wishes. But will try to enjoy the sports leaving the political side of it.

And I have seen Bucket list last night and had thought to myself what would be my to do list(not a bucket list though) for the next year I suppose and atleast the top 5.

1)Motorcycle (learn and buy)
2)SixPAck / Learn to swim
3)GMAT
4) Some money in the bank wouldn't hurt....
5)Take a Holiday for a week....outside US or some really cool place in US I mean has to really cool...

And couple of other things which I cant put it on a public forum so use imagination.ha ha
So Aug 09 will update you more about if I have done these are not.

Why does a great actor like "Morgan freeman" always ends up playing the Nice black supporting guy of a white protagonist in all the movies.

Anyways thats my time for this week.
Have Fun

No More settling for mediocrity

I suffer from procrastination. Why do I tend to procrastinate,I more often ask myself. Is it becaz life is good so "chal raha hain chal ne do", maybe.I always say to my self I am gonna do this starting tommorow and as always tommorow never comes. At this point I feeL I am becoming hopelessly lazy and going no where.I have to change that And finally have started saying "I am gonna do this now" to atleast 25% of the things.Thats a good start so lets see when will it become more than 50%.
My favorite pass time is sit in a lazy chair( fits the name to the T),watch TV(some sports channel) One good thing about USA is their scheduling of sports they manage so well u just end up wondering what did I do this weekend. And ofcourse a beverage is what makes you complete.
I had watched 2 movies this weekend that are extreme contrats to one another. One is "Dark knight" a 180M budget action movie with a record 153M openning weekend collection and the other is "Yound People F***king"(the title do have those stars) a Indi movie with a minimal budget and probably I am one of the few who have seen the movie.
"Dark Knight" is a good action flick which gives action/greatest villan for $10 worth but doesnt really live upto the over hype it got created. But Heath ledger have some of the greatest lines and he pulled them off really good.I can stick my neck out and say Heath's Joker was much more fun to watch than JAck's.Though you can never really compare two performances from 2 different eras. All in all the movie is worth watching for Heath's sake.Sad that he is no more.
"Yound People F***ing",The title caught me offguard and made me curious to know what exactly is the movie all about and I ended up liking the movie. It was one of the good sex comidies( If you can say that) I have seen lately. Its an Indi movie and got nominated to some film festivals too.there are so many funny lines that made me fall out of my chair laughing. All n all completely worth the dollar I spent on it.Its all about how 5 couples with different relationships spend a night.
Anyways Have fun.
Mistakes from my last post,
concur as it shud be Conquer. How the word changes the meaning completely anyways.

Only If life is a vacation

Always heard the phrase "Money cannot buy happiness" .I have no comment on that but Money sure can buy a Vacation and as for now that's cool.

Puerto Rico is fun the food the places the clubs, the ocean and more importantly the chicks are awesome. To say the least its a FAB place and the HOTEL we crashed at is a nice one with a sea shore view,a beach ,swimming pools ,bars, casino and restaurants all in the HOTEL.And my personal favorite being a bar in the pool.

I was never a food junky as such but my trip mates Suman 'N' Bhagi are real food connoisseurs ,So had some authentic puerto rican food and also some different specialities. and i loved it.

We had gone for SCUBA diving .what can i say guys don't ever do that if u donno how to swim.Me and Bhagi ,couldn't swim for life were left hanging onto a raft about couple of miles away from the shore in the ocean if that is not scary nothing in life is I guess.the true sense of Living Life in the EDGE and it wasn't pretty but we survived that's what makes it an experience.

But one of the grave reasons why i wont forget the trip is Men's Wimbledon Final2008.Roger Federer Lost to Nadal in a 5 setter. In the past few days read a lot of about how it is greatest match ever. For me it wud have been a greatest ending ever if only Federer has won it.Nadal deserved it but Federer deserved it equally if not more.

I guess once you reach the tip of the mountain there is only one way out but still federer had been on the tip for a very long time and it never occurred to me he has to move on someday.Just hope there is bigger mountain(if at there is one bigger than what he has achieved) that federer will Conquer.I still gonna put my Money on federer for US open and the coming grand slams.
1 semifinal and 2 finals this year isn't bad but bad by the standards set by the almighty himself.

And Much love Puerto Rico will back again one day.
